Mobile – Things to do with your Team
Throughout its history, Mobile has served as a hub for the import and export of material goods and cultural collaboration between the Native Americans, the French, the British, the Spanish and more. It is also known for having the oldest organized Mardi Gras celebrations in the United States, dating all the way back to the 18th Century, so it shouldn’t come as any surprise that Mobile takes having fun pretty seriously. There’s fun to be found pretty much everywhere in this melting pot of a city, from historic landmarks like the Battleship USS Alabama and the History Museum of Mobile, to fun attractions that are majorly Mobile like the Gulf Coast Ducks tour and Hank Aaron Stadium. Battleship Memorial Park
At Mobile’s Battleship Memorial Park you and your team can climb aboard the Battleship USS Alabama and “set sail” back in time to the seas of World War II. There, you will be able to explore the battleship’s various decks where you can climb inside gun turrets, get locked in the brig, man an anti-aircraft gun, and much more. While at Battleship Memorial Park you can also venture inside the USS Drum, the oldest American submarine on public display, and learn about its 72 member crew and illustrious history. When you’re there, be sure to ask about Stateside, the crew’s pet dog who served alongside them aboard the USS Drum. If your team is more interested in sky than sea they’ll definitely enjoy a visit to Battleship Memorial Park’s Medal of Honor Aircraft Pavilion. The pavilion is home to an extensive aircraft collection, historic vehicles, and war artifacts. One of the most amazing pieces in the collection is a super-secret spy plane, the A-12 Blackbird, which was used by the CIA in 1965 for renaissance missions. The pavilion also features a flight simulator where you can experience flight without ever leaving the ground. Gulf Coast Ducks

Hank Aaron Stadium
Hank Aaron Stadium, affectionately nicknamed “The Hank” by locals, is a field that’s rooted deeply in Mobile sports history. Named for Mobile native and record-breaking Hall of Famer Henry Aaron, this field opened its doors in April 1997 and with its opening, ended a 27-year hiatus for minor league baseball in Mobile. At Hank Aaron Stadium you and your team can indulge in a good old-fashioned game of baseball played by the BayBears, Mobile’s minor league team. Gulf Coast Exploreum Science Center
Get your team thinking with a visit to the Gulf Coast Exploreum Science Center. Mobile Carnival Museum
No stay in Mobile would be complete without a visit to the Mobile Carnival Museum. There you and your team can learn about the history of Mardi Gras in the home city of the oldest annual Carnival celebration in the United States. The tradition began in Mobile in 1703, a full 15 years before New Orleans was even founded. Young children will enjoy the intricate and colorful crowns, scepters, and robes that make up the costumes of Mardi Gras monarchs past, as well as seeing what it’s like to be a part of the festivities as they climb aboard a rocking float. History Museum of Mobile
You’ll learn more than just a thing or two at the History Museum of Mobile, which houses and interprets 300 years of Mobile history through numerous exhibits containing thousands of artifacts. The museum itself is situated in a national historic landmark, the Old City Hall building, and has roots that date back nearly 180 years.
