River’s Edge Convention Center – Things To Do With Your Team

St. Cloud Escape Rooms

Located just over a 15-minute walk from the River’s Edge Convention Center, St. Cloud Escape Rooms is Minnesota’s first live-action escape game. There you and your team will be able to take part in 60 minutes of problem-solving, teambuilding fun.
St. Cloud Escape Rooms has four rooms for you to choose from. The most difficult of these four rooms is Forensic Rush. In this room a team of two to eight players must help the FBI to put one of three criminal masterminds behind bars by cracking the code left behind at the scene of a crime. St. Cloud State University
While at the River’s Edge Convention Center, you’ll be minutes from Minnesota’s third-largest public university, St. Cloud State University. The beautiful 100-acre St. Cloud State University campus is located on the banks of the Mississippi River, just north of the Beaver Islands. It’s a great place to spend an afternoon outdoors if the weather’s nice while you’re in St. Cloud. After all, you’ll probably be spending much of your time cooped up in the River’s Edge Convention Center, so any opportunity to go outside will be a welcome one.

Herb Brooks National Hockey Center
Considering that one of Minnesota’s nicknames is the “State of Hockey,” catching a hockey game is a no-brainer if you’re looking for something fun to do while at the River’s Edge Convention Center. The Herb Brooks National Hockey Center, more commonly known as the Brooks Center, is a wildly-popular venue among St. Cloud locals looking to get their fix of this icy pastime. In fact, the Brooks Center has been known to draw crowds of more than 6,000 during big games, even though its seating capacity is technically only 5,159. Minnesota isn’t called the State of Hockey for nothing, that’s for sure! Lake George
Lake George is one of St. Cloud’s most popular gathering places. If your team has got a few hours of downtime in between games at the River’s Edge Convention Center but you’re not sure what to go and do, just head to Lake George. The park that surrounds this quaint, tranquil lake has something for everyone. It features a walking path that traces the perimeter of the lake along with two playgrounds, a fishing platform, and more.
During the summer months Lake George has even more to offer you and your team. Summertime by George!, a free festival organized by the Rotary Club of St. Cloud, takes place every Wednesday for 12 weeks straight from June through August. If you and your team are lucky enough to be able to attend this fun event during your visit to the River’s Edge Convention Center, you’ll get to enjoy live musical performances from local and regional bands, a kid’s zone with plenty of activities and games, and more. Munsinger and Clemens Gardens
Although these two gorgeous gardens are a 30-minute walk from the River’s Edge Convention Center, they’re certainly worth the trek. While the Munsinger and Clemens Gardens are located adjacent to one another, both are quite distinct. The older of the two, Munsinger Gardens, dates back to 1915. It spans 14 acres and features beautiful flower-lined walkways amidst towering pine trees.
In contrast, Clemens Gardens is marked by its classical European landscape design. Clemens Gardens is comprised of six smaller gardens, each one more beautiful than the last.
