Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area
Only 16 miles west of Las Vegas starts the beautiful Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. The conservation area showcases a set of large red rock formations: a set of sandstone peaks and walls called the Keystone Thrust. The walls are up to 3,000 ft. high, making them a popular hiking and rock climbing destination. The highest point is La Madre Mountain, at 8,154 ft. One of the most exciting places for a kid to go on the Vegas Strip is Pole Position Raceway. They offer several racing options, including the Arrive & Drive program that allows customers to show up individually or in small groups and race in standard races. These races last 10 minutes and drivers are separated into three categories.
