Independence National Historical Park

The city of Philadelphia is rich in history, and there is no better place to see it than at the Independence National Historical Park. The park contains a goldmine of famous spots and things to see, including Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, the Benjamin Franklin Museum, and Congress Hall. There are guided tours available led by National Park rangers, or you can just meander through the buildings and exhibits at your own pace. Franklin Institute Science Museum

The Franklin Institute Science Museum offers hands on entertainment that anyone can enjoy. With constantly changing exhibits, you can learn about the science of sports in the Sports Zone or explore the human brain inside of Your Brain. The institute also has the option of IMAX and Franklin 3D Theaters where you can watch the latest and greatest in cinema. There is also the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University where anyone with a hunger for knowledge can get their fill. The Live Animal Center on premises features presentations with the inhabitants daily at 2:30pm. Delaware River Waterfront

Philadelphia is home to the Delaware River Waterfront, a delightful little venue with breathtaking views of the Benjamin Franklin Bridge. Among other things, it houses an outdoor roller-skating rink and ice-skating rink depending on the season. Food and entertainment varies based on the time of year as well, with winter hot chocolate and summer the crab fries, to mention a few. Tickets are available on site or can be purchased in advance online. Philadelphia Museum of Art
