National Museum of the Great Lakes
Being that Toledo is located extremely close to Lake Erie, it makes a lot of sense having a museum discussing the importance and history of the Great Lakes right in the city. The National Museum of the Great Lakes is a one of a kind museum whose goal is to educate visitors about how the Great Lakes have and continue to help the United States. The museum uses over 300 artifacts to tell a story about the Great Lakes. Included with the artifacts are audiovisual displays and over 40 interactive exhibits that kids will enjoy. The museum is open year round, but if you go anytime from May through October, you and your team can also climb aboard the Col. James M Schoonmaker for a tour of a cargo ship. Interactive exhibits about energy transfer, invisible and visible light, and magnetism are just a few of the attractions your team will play with and gain knowledge from. While you’re at Imagination Station, remember to check out the Extreme Science Theater. Toledo Zoo & Aquarium
Better than a zoo or an aquarium, it’s both! Take your team to Toledo Zoo & Aquarium for an animal filled day out. The zoo portion has one of the only Hippo aquariums in the world.
