Providence Place Mall

What kid doesn’t enjoy spending time at the mall? No matter what you’re interested in, you can find some stores to check out at Providence Place Mall. The Providence Children’s Museum is jam packed with hands-on activities that you won’t be able to resist trying. Splash around in Water Ways. Take part in building fountains and navigate boats through ponds and swirling water vortexes. Construct a dam and figure out how to guide water and force it to take a different path.

Tinker around in Play Power while you create crazy contraptions. Build your own tube roller coaster and test it by having a ball roll through it. You can make your coaster as simple or complex as you’d like. There’s a wacky mirror-filled fun house located in the Play Power exhibit that your team will enjoy as well.

Anyone who likes climbing things should stop by The Climber. This two-story climbing maze is available for kids and adults. Scale various structures and overcome obstacles, all while having a load of fun.

Waterplace Park

Found in the heart of downtown Providence near the Rhode Island Convention Center, Waterplace Park is a magnificent four-acre park and riverwalk that allows people to see the sights of the city from on land or water.

Take a leisurely stroll along the Woonasquatucket River while you take in the sights and sounds of Providence. You can enter the park from multiple points thanks to the Venetian-style footbridges that connect Waterplace Park to the rest of the city.

The Providence Rink

Open from November until the end of February, The Providence Rink is an extremely popular skating rink near the Rhode Island Convention Center. Skate rentals are provided for an inexpensive, additional fee.

If you’re a seasoned veteran on the ice, you can lace up your skates and hit the ice in no time. On the other hand, if you are new to ice skating, the rink has penguin and snowman-themed skate aids that you can hold on to while you get acclimated.

The Providence Rink even offers skating lessons, led by competitive skater and USFSA-certified basic skills instructor, Meghan Neary.

Escape Rhode Island

Your team may work well together when they’re competing in a tournament, but what about when they’re locked in a room and must solve clues and puzzles to get out? Put their teamwork to the ultimate test at Escape Rhode Island.

When you visit, you can participate in one of four escape rooms. Find a way into a mysterious vault and discover what’s inside in Ex Machina. Breakout of a space station and uncover the truth of the lockdown if you choose Andromeda Station. In The Bunker, you must complete your mission of launching a test missile. However, something seems off. Find out what’s wrong before it’s too late. The final room, The Mausoleum, entrusts you with saving the city from sinister beings.

The entire team will be satisfied and maybe leaving with some leftovers after a meal at Blake’s Tavern.

Blake’s menu has a lot to offer customers. However, the star of the menu is the decadent concoction referred to as the Baked Mac n’ Cheese Casserole. If you order this dish, you can expect a mountain of baked penne covered in cheese, bacon bits, and topped with crumbled up Ritz crackers.

An artisan pizza restaurant by the name of figidni can be found close to the Rhode Island Convention Center.

All of their pizzas are cooked over a wood fire oven. Regardless of which one you order, you won’t be sorry. figidini splits its pizza menu into red and white pizzas with sauce or no sauce. GPub

It’s hard to find a restaurant that cooks up food as good as a gastropub. Stop by GPub for some tasty, homemade meals.

Start your meal off with some gravy-doused fries, commonly known as poutine. A medley of sliders and popcorn shrimp are a few other great choices. Murphy’s opened its doors all the way back in 1929. This restaurant is a combination of Irish pub and New York deli.
